How to keep them down on the farm!
The Cost Farm is the playground every year for the York Rite Grand Chapter annual picnic. This year’s event was held on June 18th with perfect weather.
Companion Cliff Cost has a large amount of acreage that serves as the setting to all who attend this annual event. It not only provides a wonderful setting for a picnic but there are many interesting assets that keep you coming back. The families that attend are treated to a small animal area with ducks, chickens, a pig and peacocks. There is a barrel train for the children and a playground reminiscent to the 1950’s that the kids and adults alike, totally enjoy. Volleyball and horseshoes teams tend to lead to competitive sport. The many volunteers who provide the food and refreshment make for an exceptional day. Oh! Let us not forget the hay ride that takes you through a woodsy setting around the many acres he has cleared that provide a very serene setting.
This well-kept secret comes alive with more participants every year. If you have not attended this great picnic you are missing a most splendid day. Come out to the farm and enjoy as all of us do, a day of friendship and refreshment with your family and I will take your children on the best train ride in Rhode Island. Look for next year’s flyer ---- DON’T MISS OUT!
